The portfolio is the interview

You are preparing for the wrong conversation. You rehearse answers, tighten the CV, practise the handshake — and none of it is the thing being assessed.

The assessment already happened. It happened when someone typed your name into a search box and looked at what came back.

A portfolio is not a gallery of finished work. It is evidence of judgement: here is a problem, here is what I decided, here is what happened. The last part is what almost nobody publishes, and it is the only part that proves anything.

Publish the decision, not just the outcome. Anyone can show a result. Showing why you chose it is the part that cannot be faked.

The move this week: take one thing you shipped and write three paragraphs about a decision inside it you nearly got wrong.
